National Awards 2022 Winners List – 68th National Film Awards List – The winners of the 68th National Film Awards were announced on Friday, July 22. Earlier, the National Film Awards ceremony was held in May. However, due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, last time it was delayed by a year and this year too it was delayed by a few months. The names of the winners were announced at a press conference at the National Media Centre, New Delhi on July 22.

The National Award for Best Actor went to Suriya for Sorarai Pottru and Ajay Devgn for Tanhaji, while Aparna Balamurali won the Best Actress award for her performance in Sorarai Potru. The National Award for the Most Film Friendly State was awarded to Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh received special mentions. Last year, director Priyadarshan’s Malayalam war epic Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, which has been titled by Mohanlal, won the best feature film award, while the best acting honour went to Manoj Bajpayee for Bhonsle, Dhanush for Tamil film Asuran and Kangana Ranaut for two.
