Karnataka Budget 2022-23 Highlights
- Total Budet outlay: Rs.2,65,720 crore.
- Revenue In expenditure Rs.2,04,587 crore.
- Capital expenditure Rs.46,955 crore.
- Repayment – Rs.14,179 crore.
- Agriculture and Allied Activities – Rs 33,700 crore.
- Welfare and Inclusive Growth – Rs.68,479 crore.
- To boost economic growth rs 55,657 crore.
- Comprehensive development of Bengaluru rs 8,409 crore.
- Conservation of culture, heritage and natural resources – Rs 3,102 crore.
- Administrative reforms and public service delivery – Rs.56,170 crore.
- Allocation of grants for women’s empowerment and welfare in the budget is Rs.43,188 crore.
- Allocation of grants for child welfare in (Gender Budget) Budget – Rs 40,944 crore.
- (Children’s Budget) Allocation of Grant of Rs.28,234 crore for SCSP/TSP. There is an increase of Rs 2,229 crore over the previous year.
- ₹1,000 crore for improvement of 100 primary health care centres.
- ₹750 crore for Dr BR Ambedkar Hostels
- ₹165 crore for Kanakadas Hostel.

- 350 acre Atal Bihari Vajpayee park near Yelahanka in Bengaluru.

- Gst transfer allocation has been increased by the Centre from around Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 27,000 crore due to increase in GST revenue.
- 300 Women’s Wellness Centre established across the state
- The number of goshalas increased to 100. 50 crore grant for this purpose
- 250 crore grant for police home construction project
- Construction of 100 bedded hospital in 7 taluks of the state
- Air Ambulance for Emergency Medical Service
- Construction of new Ayurveda College at Savanur
- Asha workers’ honorarium increased to 1000
- New Medical College announced for Chitradurga district
- 100 new veterinary clinics opened
- 840 crore to eliminate plastic pollution in coastal water source. Implementation of cost-effective “Blue-Plastic Management Scheme” which is the first in the country.
- APJ Abdul Kalam Residential School for Muslim Community.
- ₹500 cr will be set aside for the development of infrastructure at government schools. Government will invest in establishing digital libraries across the state.
- Free coaching to be provided to students of pursuing entrance examinations like UPSC, SSC, NEET, JEE under ‘Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Margadarshini’ scheme.
- Allocation for mid-day meal cooks and helpers to be increased by ₹1,000.
- New model universities to come up in Chamarajanagar, Bidar, Haveri, Hassan, Kodagu, Koppal and Bagalkot districts.
- Government will build APJ Abdul Kalam Residential School for Muslim Community.
- ₹1,000 cr has been allocated to improve 100 primary health care centres in the state. Kidwai Regional Cancer Centre to be built in Belagavi at the cost of ₹50 crore.
- ₹89 crore will be spent to modernise KR Hospital in Mysuru.
- ₹1,000 crore given for Ramanagara Rajiv Gandhi University of Medical Sciences campus.
- A new regional cardiac center to be set up at ₹250 crore to come up in Hubballi.
- Government to set up 100 hi-tech mobile clinics in places with a high density of construction workers.
- The bed capacity of ESI hospital to be increased from 50 to 100 in Davanagere and Hubballi
- Beyond Bengaluru Cluster Seed Fund for Start-ups’ will be established in Mysuru, Mangaluru and Hubballi at a cost of Rs 20 crore. A grant of Rs 12 crore will be provided for this project this year.
- New airports and upgradation of existing airports in the state
- Greenfield airport at Raichur at a cost of Rs.186 crore, proposal for airports at Dharwad and Koppal with funds from district mineral fund, and extension of runway in Mysore
airport. - The heliport will be constructed at Madikeri, Chikkamagalur and Hampi at a cost of Rs 30 crore.
- Rs 300 crore for roads damaged during the rainy season.1,000 lakes to be developed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh per lake 2,275 km of state highways to be developed at a cost of Rs 3,500 crore Re-asphalting of1,008 state highways at a cost of Rs 440 crore.
- Karnataka state governmentto submit the proposal to centre for a 55 km Gadag-Yelagavi new rail line at a cost of Rs 640 crore
Renewable Energy Park :
- Government Of Karnataka to set up 5,000 MW capacity hybrid renewable energy park in 8 districts under PPP model.
Mega Jewellery Park :
- Mega Jewellery Park’ will be established in Bengaluru to generate employment for 10,000 people Announced In Budget 2022-23.
Special Investment Region :
- Karnataka Special Investment Region Act will be formulated By State Government to establish, operate and control mega industrial regions and to establish mega industrial estates.
- Tumakuru and Dharwad districts to be notified as Special Investment Region
