Rajya Sabha Election Winners List 2022 – Full list of Elected Candidates – Ahead of the elections scheduled for the Upper House, several leaders from various parties were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha on Friday. The leaders who were elected and given certificates today include Vivek Tankha, Rajiv Shukla and Ranjit Ranjan of the Congress; Sumitra Valmiki and BJP’s Kavita Patidar; and Balbir Singh Seechewal and Vikramjit Singh Sahni of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Congress leader and senior advocate Tankha was elected from Madhya Pradesh while Shukla and Ranjan were elected from Chhattisgarh. Bjp’s Valmiki and Patidar were elected from MP and AAP leaders were elected from Punjab. There were 57 seats vacant in the Rajya Sabha. These seats fell vacant from Andhra Pradesh (4), Bihar (5), Chhattisgarh (2), Jharkhand (2) Haryana (2), Karnataka (4), Madhya Pradesh (3), Maharashtra (6), Odisha (3), Punjab (2), Telangana (2), Tamil Nadu (6), Uttarakhand (1) and Uttar Pradesh (11). As some have been elected unopposed, elections for remaining seats will take place on June 10.
