One UI 6.1.1 set to release on Sep 17 for Galaxy S23 Series, Z Flip 5, and Fold 6: Samsung started sending out the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24 line at the beginning of this week. The company is now getting ready to share the long-awaited software update for older models. After these, the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra, S23 FE, Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5 will be ready.

Canadian cell phone company Telus has said that Samsung will release the new software update for these phones on September 17. The provider did not say what version it was; instead, they talked about improvements and security changes. “Optimizations and security changes” are what they usually call small updates to the One UI.

For the other areas, we can expect Korea to be the first to try out the new software update. Europe, India, and the US will then follow suit. The update will probably come to open models first, then to carrier-locked models soon after.

Among its new and improved features, One UI 6.1.1 includes a number of Galaxy AI features, such as Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio, voice recording integration into Samsung Notes, and more. It adds support for ExpertRAW’s Astro Portrait tool, Instant Slo-Mo for HDR10+ videos, Live Effects, Motion Clipper, and more for photos.

The update will come to your phone over-the-air if you have a Galaxy S23 Series phone, Galaxy Z Flip 5, or Galaxy Fold 6. Setting > Software Update > Download and Install will also let you check for changes by hand.
