How is NEET 2021 Score Calculated By Testing Agency?

National Testing Agency i.e NTA, prepares the result for NEET 2021 & Cut off Marks , in the following manner. Candidates can download their NEET 2021 scorecard, by logging in with their roll number and DOB.

NEET 2021 Raw Score:

First of all, the raw score is calculated on the basis of the scheme of marking.

  • For correct answers: 4 marks are allotted
  • For incorrect answers: 1 mark is deducted
  • For unattempted question: Zero marks.

Preparation of Percentile Marks:

  • After the raw score is calculated, the percentile of each student is determined.
  • Candidates should note that percentage and percentile are 2 different terms.

Formula for Percentile Calculation NEET 2021 :

100 x Number of candidates appeared with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate

Preparation of Merit List: The last step is the preparation of NEET 2021 Merit Lists. They are prepared as per the percentile score obtain. Candidates can apply for counselling as per their rank in merit lists.
