Eligibility Criteria of the MPPSC Exam

Nationality The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Educational Qualification The candidates must hold a graduate degree or he/she must be in the final year of graduation waiting for the result as their relevant qualification.
  • As per the latest notification of MPPSC State Service Exam having work experience is not a mandatory criteria.
  • Candidates with or without any experience can apply for this exam given that he/she fulfills other eligibility criteria as mentioned above in the article.
Number of Attempts The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has not specified the maximum number of attempts available to a candidate.

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must hold a degree in any discipline from a University recognized by the government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government (or) possesses an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for taking the State Services (Main) Examination, will be mandatorily required to produce a mark sheet/proof of passing examination along with their application form. Application forms without the mark sheet/proof of passing the bachelor’s degree shall be rejected.
  • Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications, which are recognized by the State Government, will also be eligible for admissions.

Age Limit

  • Candidates applying for Assistant Superintendent post must be between 18 to 30 years
  • For Transportation sub-inspector post, age limit must be between 23 to 35 years
  • For Superintendent of the police post, the age limit is 20 to 45 years
  • For other posts, candidates’ age must be between 23 to 40 years

Domicile Rules for State Services Exam

Candidates applying for MPPSC exam 2023 for State Services must check the following domicile rules –

  • The candidates must be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The candidate must have completed his/her higher education, i.e., 10th & 12th from Madhya Pradesh.
  • Only the candidates who satisfy the above domicile rules are eligible to register for MPPSC 2023 exam for state services.
  • Male candidates with more than one wife (living) are not eligible
  • Female candidates who have married a person already having a wife (living) are not eligible.
  • Candidates can claim age relaxation or reservation in only one category, depending upon which is more beneficial.
