These Sainik Schools are jointly run by the state government. & Ministry of Defense. The total number of girls in the 2021-22 session was 320 and there are 335 vacancies for girls for the 2022-23 session. The list of Sainik Schools in Haryana is given below.
There are three Sainik Schools in Haryana, out of which 1 is being constructed by the Haryana government in 2018. And the remaining 2 are running properly. One is Kunjpura Sainik School, Karnal, the other is Rewari Sainik School and the third is Muttonhel, Jhajjar which is under construction.
These Sainik Schools are jointly run by the government. Haryana and Ministry of Defence. Haryana is among the top three states in the country with the highest number of students studying in Sainik Schools working under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence (MoD). Kunjpura Sainik SchoolIt is one of the first five sainik schools established in 1961 in India. Motto of this school is “Siddhim Sannadh” which means ‘ ready to accomplish’. The Cadets of this school are known as ‘Kunjeyans’ or ‘Kunjeans’. School has got a sanctioned strength of 625 cadets from VI to XII. This campus is spread over 276 acres of land.

Rewari Sainik SchoolThis School is inaugurated on 29 Aug, 2008 by the Defence Minister of India A K Antony. The Principal is Col. Soumyabrata Dhar & Vice Principal is Wg. Cdr. Kamal Singh Rawat. The cadets of this school are known as ‘ReWarians’. The Motto of this school is “Gyan Sadbhawna Deshbhakti” which means ‘yes we can’. Total sanctioned strength of this school is 538 students.

Eligibility :
- For admission to Class VI, age of the candidate should be between 10 and 12 years.
- For admission to Class IX, age of the candidate should be between 13 and 15 years.
- In addition he should have passed Class VIII from a recognized School at the time of admission.

Exam Pattern For Admission In Sainik Schools :
- The mode of exam will be paper pen test conducted on OMR based system which will have Multiple Choice Questions.
- The medium of examination for Class VI will be English and Hindi, but for Class IX it will be only English.
