Triprayar Sri Rama Temple, Kerala
Tripraya Sri Rama Temple is located in Thrissur district of Kerala. Behind the statue installed here is a very fascinating story of this Ram temple. It is believed that the idol placed in Triprayar was worshipped by Lord Krishna, who is also considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It was submerged in the sea and was set up by a fisherman from The Chettuva region of Kerala. Later, the ruler- Vakkayil Kaimal installed that idol in the Triprayar temple. You can see attractive sculptures and wooden carvings in this charming temple which makes it one of the best Ram temples in India. It is believed that by travelling to Triprayar, you are freed from all the evil spirits around you. Ekadashi festival is a witness to a grand celebration and joy in this temple. Lord Aryappa is exhumed from all over the world with 21 elephants and devotees.
