HTET Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the HTET 2022 exam, candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education- Haryana (BSE-H) to write the HTET exam. If it is found that the candidate doesn’t satisfy the eligibility criteria at later stages of selection, then his/her candidature will stand cancelled.

The candidate must be an Indian citizen to be eligible to sit for the HTET exam.
Number of AttemptsÂ
- There is no particular limit to the number of attempts one can make to sit for this exam.
- As long as they meet the educational guidelines, they can apply for the entrance.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification is different for each level. Level 1 is for the primary teacher (class 1 to 5), level 2 for the trained graduate teacher (classes 6 to 8) and level 3 requires postgraduate teachers (above class 8). The educational requirement for each level of HTET 2022Â exam is discussed below:
For Level-I Primary Teacher (Class I to V)
For a candidate who wants to appear for the Level 1 exam, he/she must have passed the 12th exam with a minimum 50% along with a Diploma in Elementary Education either passed or appearing in the final exam.
For Level-II Trained Graduate Teacher (Class VI to VIII)
For appearing in the Level 2 exam, a candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree along with B.Ed passed or appearing in the final year and a 2 years diploma in elementary education passed or appearing in the final year.
For Level-III Post Graduate Teacher (Class VIII above)
To appear for the Level 3 exam, a candidate must have a Master’s degree along with B.Ed passed or appearing final exam and 2 years Diploma in elementary education passed or should be appearing for the final exam.
Age Limit
- Candidates from 18 years to 38 years of age can apply for HTET 2022.

HTET Selection Process
Passing the HTET 2022Â examination is not enough to get the call letter for the interview. Candidates must satisfy all the eligibility criteria as per the Service Rules to get the final appointment letter. The selection process gives weightage to three things. They are as follows:
- Written Test: 80%
- Personal Interview: 12%
- Teaching Experience: 8%

- The total number of questions for all three levels is 150 and the total duration is 2 hours 30 minutes to attempt all three levels.
- The HTET 2022 exam will be conducted only in offline mode i.e it will be a pen and paper-based exam.
Marking Scheme
-  For each correct response, a +1 is awarded in the HTET paper and there is no penalty for wrong answers, which means that there is no negative marking in the HTET 2022 Exam.
- Candidates will be provided with an OMR sheet, where they will have to choose the answer by darkening the circle for the corresponding option.
