The results of JNVST selection list phase I are expected to be released soon. JNVST Selection Test Result 2021 Phase I Result will be available on the official admission portal. While the result will also be declared in the offices of regional JNV schools, district education officer, district collector, Deputy Commissioner of JNV, it is advised to get it through online portal (keeping in view the covid guidelines). JNVST Merit List 2021

  • Selection in the examination alone does not ensure admission to JNV.
  • At the time of admission, candidates have to bring and verify the certificates prescribed by navodaya vidyalaya samiti.
  • Unless admission to JNV is final, selection of candidates is provisional.
  • The marks obtained by the candidates in JNVST entrance examination will not be shared by navodaya vidyalaya samiti.
  • The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will not conduct any revaluation or revaluation process for the entrance examination conducted by the organization as the result will be evaluated electronically through answers marked in the OMR sheet using micr code in which the probability of errors is negligible or rare to a small extent.
  • The candidates and their parents have to note that the ward selected on the basis of entrance test will be considered only at JNV located in the district from where they are studying in Class V and reaching for JNVST.
  • Under any condition, the selected candidate will not be granted admission to any other JNV. In the troubled JNV, no appeal will be considered for transfer of candidates on the basis of medium of education.
  • Minority/Minority Groups Candidates from the groups will have to submit minority certificates at the time of admission to JNV if their selection is finalized. These certificates should be obtained from the concerned authorities before 30th March of the year of admission so that it can be submitted to the Principal of the concerned JNV at the time of document verification.
  • Candidates who have got admission in rural category will have to verify a certificate about the location of the school where the candidates completed class III, IV and V in rural areas.
  • Candidates belonging to physically challenged category, who are selected, will have to verify a medical certificate signed by the Registered Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the District Hospital instead of admission.

JNVST Entrance Eligibility

  • Only candidates from the particular district where Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.
  • Candidates appearing for JNVST examination will be studying in Class 5th for the full academic session in government or semi-government or government funded, other known school or should have b certificate of AT least NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling).
  • The age of candidates desirous of entering JNV should be 9 – 13 years.
  • The candidate who is accused of taking admission through rural quota should study and pass in 3rd, 4th and 5th standard from government or semi-government or private school.
  • Candidates who have not been promoted before 30th September and have not been admitted to Class 5th are not eligible to apply for JNV.

JNVST Entrance Test Format

  • The selection test duration will be of 2 hours from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm.
  • The exam will contain 3 sections with MCQ based questions.
  • There will be an overall 80 questions for 100 marks.
  • The medium of the exam will be in English, Hindi, or other preferred regional language selected by the candidate at the time for filing the application.
