Asia Cup Schedule List 2022, Matches List, Team List, Players List – The Asian Cricket Council has finally announced the schedule for the Asia Cup 2022. Countries will face each in the T20 tournament at the venues set by the ACC. This cup is one of the major events of cricket in Asian countries.
The tournament was first played in the year 1984. The previous edition was held in the ODI format in the United Arab Emirates. India won the last Asia Cup as it emerged as the most successful in the cup, having not lost a single match. Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan was adjudged man of the series for the cup. After being postponed several times, the tournament will be held on Sri Lankan soil in August 2022. Five major cricket teams from the continent have qualified to participate in the cup. The Asia Cup 2022 tournament is underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from August 27.
The six-team tournament will feature a qualifier in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and two groups.
The tournament is also returning to the T20 format for the first time since 2016.
