APTET Eligibility 2021 | Qualifications Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test

Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V for candidates already in possession of Respective Teacher Education Course Certificates:

  • Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and pass in 2 -year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
  • Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in 2 -year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*
  •  Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at Intermediate / Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates.

Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII for candidates already in possession of Respective Teacher Education Course Certificates:

  •  B.A. / B.Sc./B.Com and pass in 2 -year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • B.A. /B.Sc./B.Com with at least 45% marks and pass in 1 -year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • .B.A. / B.Sc./B.Com with at least 50% marks and pass in 1 -year B.Ed. (Special Education)*
  • Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
  • Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in 4-year B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed.
  •   Wherever applicable relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at Intermediate / Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates. Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc/B.Com is admissible for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates.
  • If the candidate has not secured the requisite % of marks in Bachelor’s Degree
  • Relaxation of 5% is also applicable in this regard as well for candidates belonging to SC /ST / BC / Differently abled candidates.

In addition to above, candidates possessing Language Pandit Training Certificate are also eligible. The qualifications are as follows:

Telugu Pandit B.A. (Telugu Literature) or BA (Oriental Language-Telugu) or Bachelor of Oriental Language Telugu or a graduate degree with optional subject Telugu or MA (Telugu) and pass in Telugu Pandit Training Certificate.

Hindi Pandit A graduate degree with optional subject Hindi or Bachelor of Oriental Language Hindi or Praveen of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha or Vidwan of Hindi Prachar Sabha, Hyderabad of any other equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi (BA standard) by the Government of A.P. or M.A., Hindi and pass in Hindi Pandit Training Certificate

Urdu Pandit BA (Urdu Literature) or BA (Oriental Language Urdu) or Bachelor of Oriental Language Urdu or Graduate Degree with optional subject Urdu or M.A. (Urdu) and pass in Urdu Pandit Training Certificate

Community Pass Marks

  • OC 60% Marks and above
  •  BC 50% Marks and above
  •  SC 40% Marks and above
  •  ST 40% Marks and above
  •  Differently abled (PH) 40% Marks and above
  • Physically Handicapped with at least 40% handicap only will be considered in respect of Visually Handicapped and Orthopedically Handicapped. With regard to Hearing Impaired, minimum 75% handicap will be considered under PH category.
